DIcentral Becomes Advisor to UDDI Development Team

HOUSTON, TX. (July 2, 2001) – DIcentral Corporation, a leading provider of hosted B2B data integration services, today announced its involvement as an advisory member of the Uniform Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI) project launched by Ariba, IBM and Microsoft.

The UDDI initiative is a collaborative effort to develop an Internet-based service registry that enables B2B applications, marketplaces and other web services to be described, discovered and integrated together programmatically, regardless of operating system disparities.

“Electronic commerce is expanding at an exponential rate,” says Dr. Trung T. Pham, Chief Technical Officer of DIcentral Corporation. “DIcentral Corporation believes that the UDDI initiative provides the key to unlock this e-commerce potential. The combination of resource direction from UDDI and Total B2B Data Integration from DIcentral will finally allow the Internet to realize its full potential as the premier business and communication vehicle for the 21st century.”

As an advisory member, DIcentral will provide counsel and assist in the development of UDDI's architecture specifications, in addition to participating in the program by having their products and services listed within the registry.

DIcentral Corporation is a privately held, venture-funded company with full-service facilities in Houston, TX and an additional office in San Diego, CA. DIcentral’s Total B2B Data Integration solution enables corporations of any size to achieve business-to-business (B2B) data integration without switching costs, without the investment in localized software and hardware technology, and without the costs of ongoing maintenance and management of B2B relationships.
