Computize, Leader in
Technology Products Sales, Announces E-commerce Initiative,
Selects DIcentral to Implement Changes
HOUSTON, TX. (March 8, 2001) - In a move designed to improve their supply chain, Computize Inc. unveiled a new e-commerce initiative to increase efficiency and deliver a smooth, trouble-free experience to customers and suppliers. Computize has selected DIcentral Corporation's Total B2B Data Integration Solution, a leading provider of business-to-business (B2B) data integration services, to provide flexible integration with Business Partners, facility of sharing data and documents, and near real-time order-fulfillment automation.
"Before using DIcentral's Solutions, it took three technical employees six months to enable just three Business Partners. Now it takes us three days to enable each Partner," said Ken Ryu, President of Computize. "We are extremely satisfied with DIcentral's performance and are looking forward to achieving our goal of 100% e-commerce enablement."
In this new partnership, DIcentral will establish a link to Computize, translate the information and transmit it to each Business Partner in their preferred file formats and standards, all in a secure, confidential and reliable environment and regardless of what file formats that their Business Partners' systems require. The efficiency of the supply-chain directly affects Computize's customer service, productivity, and profitability. The DIcentral Solution already has both increased Computize's customer satisfaction rating and lowered their operating costs.
"As we expand our B2B supply-chain offerings to IT businesses throughout the United States, we are pleased to assist Computize as the company expands its e-commerce initiatives," said Thuy Mai, CEO of DIcentral. "By using our hosted Internet services, Computize is able to conduct e-commerce with its many small and mid-sized suppliers who were previously unable to afford the large upfront and ongoing costs associated with most other e-business solutions."
The initial phase will link Computize to its 150 suppliers, including many well-known Fortune 1000 companies. Utilizing DIcentral's cXML and CBL capabilities, Computize will publish its extensive product catalog to both the Ariba and Commerce One marketplaces.
